Now that you’ve signed up for your Mo.net 30-day free trial, you may be wondering: what should I do next? Fear not, we have compiled an expert guide on the essentials you should focus on week-by-week to help you make the most of your Mo.net trial.

Week 1
Install Software
When you sign up to your 30-day free trial you will receive a Welcome email from one of the team with login details. Follow the link in the email and sign into the Customer Portal.
The Mo.net software installers and installation documentation will be available to download from the Resources menu on the website.
Expert Tip: We recommend downloading Mo.net Model Development Studio first. The installation guide will give you step-by-step instructions on how to successfully download, install and access Mo.net Model Development Studio.

Read the Getting Started Guide
Within the Welcome email there will also be a link to the “Getting Started Guides”. Read and work through the Mo.net Model Development Studio Getting Started Guide. This covers the key features and primary activities required to start using Mo.net. You will learn how to perform simple modelling tasks such as opening and running a model, viewing results, and changing parameters.
Familiarise yourself with Mo.net
Now that you have installed the software and read through the Getting Started Guide, the next step is to familiarise yourself with Mo.net Model Development Studio interface.
Expert Tip: The Help section built into Mo.net Model Development Studio provides useful information and overviews to help you navigate your way around the system.

Week 2
Follow Tutorials
Well done – you have made it to Week 2! Now it’s time to really start using Mo.net by following the Tutorials in the Help section. Several exercises have been included to help you use the range of features within the application. Here you will learn how to create your first model, debug model code, set the value of parameter variables and much more.
We have also included a number of sample projects to help you work through this guide more quickly.

By the end of Week 2 you should be familiar with some of the core elements of the user interface, such as model tables, tasks & results.
If you have developed, deployed, and run a model then you are right on track.
Week 3
Mo.net Documentation Service
Now you have got to grips with Mo.net Model Development Studio, it’s time to see what else Mo.net has to offer. Log back into the Customer Portal and download Mo.net Documentation Service. As before, follow the Installation Guide and Getting Started Guide to get you up and running.

Why Documentation Service? This product allows you to generate model documentation for any Mo.net project. With the regulatory agenda continuing to demand increasing evidence of good quality, appropriate and up-to-date model documentation, there is a clear need to help customers develop a body of documentation for their critical business models.
Week 4
Excel Reporting
Mo.net Development Studio offers seamless integration with Microsoft Excel. Viewing and analysing the results of modelling projections is simple and flexible, and can be done either from within Mo.net, or from within Excel. So, for the final week of your Mo.net trial we recommend experimenting with Excel reporting.
By default, the Excel Reporting Add-in is installed as part of the installation of Mo.net Model Development Studio. Downloading the ‘Getting Started with Excel Integration’ guide from the Customer Portal will walk you through Excel Reporting.

Expert Tip: A sample project including a workbook illustrating several of the key features is included in Model Development Studio. You will also find a tutorial in the Getting Started Guide that walks you through this and is a useful reference point for users.
